Fels Student Association Nonprofit Fair
The Fels Student Association is hosting a nonprofit fair! They will have 10-20 nonprofit organizations tabling. This is a great chance to learn about different organizations, learn about volunteer/intern/work opportunities, and make lasting connections. There will also be a hot chocolate bar on-site.

This fall, show your favorite neighborhood park some love! In partnership with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancy, Park Friends Groups across Philadelphia will be hosting volunteer events the weekend of November 10th - 12th for Love Your Park Fall 2023.

Institutional constraints and weak capacity often hamper the ability of local governments in developing countries to steer urbanization. As a result, there are not enough cities to accommodate an unabated rural-urban migration and many of those that exist are messy, sprawling, and disconnected. In this event, the authors and discussants will explore the conditions that create these private cities, who these private actors are, and the implications for urban policy. Register here.
Penn IUR 2023 Photo Contest: Urban Nature
The Penn Institute for Urban Research is hosting its eighth annual photo contest with the theme, “Urban Nature.” The deadline for submissions is December 1, 2023. A prize of $500 will be awarded to the top submission as determined by a panel of Penn affiliated judges. Check out the details here.
