The ‘Oil Machine’ Documentary Screening
On Nov. 3rd, CL@P partnered with Twin Seas Media, together successfully hosted the 'Oil Machine' documentary screening at University of Pennsylvania, followed by an insightful Q&A session with the talented director Emma Davie! We are thankful to everyone who attended the screening and Emma for engaging in a meaningful discussion with our attendees!
CL@P’s First Fellowship Masterclass
FabScrap and Remark Glass Tour
On Nov.9th, CL@P held its first masterclass for the fellows at FabScrap and Remark Glass. During the tour, FabScrap enlightened our fellows on their mission to reclaim fabric waste from major brands, recycling or selling it for a sustainable second life; Remark Glass inspired our fellows with their incredible craftsmanship, turning used bottles and jars into one-of-a-kind barware, tableware, and lighting. It was definitely a unique experience to showcasing how nonprofits like them play a crucial role in promoting circularity and sustainability.
CL@P Fellowship Capstone Orientation
On November 11th, CL@P organized the Fellowship Capstone Orientation to provide a comprehensive overview of the capstone program. During this event, participants had the opportunity to meet their teams and gained insights into the strategies and skills needed to ensure the successful delivery of projects in the upcoming year.
Wissahickon Fall Hike
On Nov. 12th, CL@P orchestrated a captivating fall hike at the stunning Wissahickon Valley Park. Everybody enjoyed a delightful time trekking and bonding with their peers on the scenic trails in the park. Special shoutout to our exceptional VP of Membership and Social, Rose Albert, for planning this event seamlessly and successfully!

In this panel, security expert Max Bergmann (Center for Strategic and International Studies) focuses on the case of Vladimir Putin and his attempts to wield fossil fuels as a strategic weapon to undermine opposition to the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. Penn IUR 2023 Photo Contest: Urban Nature
The Penn Institute for Urban Research is hosting its eighth annual photo contest with the theme, “Urban Nature.” The deadline for submissions is December 1, 2023. A prize of $500 will be awarded to the top submission as determined by a panel of Penn affiliated judges. Check out the details here.
